What is the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)?

The Safe and Sound Protocol is a gentle, evidence-based listening therapy designed to support nervous system regulation, reduce stress, and improve emotional resilience. Originally developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, SSP uses filtered music to retune the vagus nerve and support safety and connection from the inside out.

In my practice, I integrate the SSP to help clients build a stable foundation for deeper healing. Whether you’re navigating trauma, sensory sensitivity, chronic stress, or emotional overwhelm, SSP offers a calm, somatic way to shift your system from survival into regulation — making it easier to access intuition, clarity, and inner strength.

We typically begin with short, supported listening sessions as part of a larger container of care. It’s not a quick fix, but it is a powerful tool to restore the body’s felt sense of safety — and that changes everything.
